About the position
The Estate Planning Attorney position at LawyerLisa in Bluffton, SC, is a full-time role focused on providing comprehensive estate planning and long-term care planning services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about elder law, trusts, taxes, and asset protection, and will work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. This role involves conducting consultations, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and overseeing junior staff, all within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations with clients regarding estate planning and elder law.
- Handle client meetings and answer client questions.
- Review and draft legal documents related to estate planning.
- Oversee Associate Attorneys and/or Law Clerks in their work.
- Research pertinent codes and cases relevant to estate planning.
- Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure client satisfaction.
- Participate in firm social events as desired.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate (Required)
- S.C. Bar License in good standing (Required)
- Experience in estate planning, elder law, and related fields.
- Mid-level experience in litigation and estate law.
Nice-to-haves
- Interest in learning about Medicaid and government benefits qualification.
- Same day travel experience (25% preferred).
