About the position
As a Certified ESL Teacher with BlazerJobs, you will be responsible for helping non-native English speakers develop their language skills through tailored lesson plans and engaging classroom activities. This part-time position requires collaboration with other educators and active involvement in the school community to support students' academic growth and integration into mainstream classrooms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective ESL lesson plans tailored to students' needs and proficiency levels.
- Conduct engaging and interactive lessons that promote language acquisition and academic growth.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to integrate ESL students into mainstream classrooms and activities.
- Communicate regularly with students' families to discuss progress and address any concerns.
- Participate in school events, professional development workshops, and team meetings.
- Develop and maintain educational materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years teaching experience required.
- Must have a valid Teaching Certification license.
- TEFL/TESOL certification or equivalent qualification.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience teaching ESL to diverse groups of students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
- Enthusiasm for creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
