About the position

As an escrow officer, you are the key to home ownership, acting as the human link between the process and the people involved. Your role begins with reviewing contracts and following instructions, ensuring that all associated paperwork is completed efficiently and accurately. You work closely with agents and their clients to keep the process moving forward, verifying that titles are clean, taxes are paid, and loans are funded. At the end of the process, you ensure that no funds or property will change hands until all terms have been fulfilled.

Responsibilities

  • Review contracts and follow instructions to ensure compliance.
  • Complete all associated paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify that titles are clean, taxes are paid, and loans are funded.
  • Maintain relationships with agents, clients, and industry players to facilitate transactions.
  • Train and delegate tasks to escrow assistants to promote their advancement.
  • Be present at closing to ensure a positive experience for all parties involved.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years of escrow experience, both front- and back-end.
  • Notary public and escrow officer licenses.
  • Technical knowledge of the closing process.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • One year of escrow closing experience.
  • An existing client base that will follow them to the company.
