About the position

The Equity Derivatives Business Manager plays a crucial role in enabling the success of the business by assisting senior leaders in navigating complex challenges, making informed decisions, and achieving their goals. This position involves collaboration with various business units to develop and implement strategies that align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements, while also managing strategic initiatives and improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and senior leadership to develop and implement business strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between different business units and functions, fostering communication and collaboration.
  • Manage and coordinate strategic initiatives, projects, and change management efforts to optimize business processes and strengthen the control environment.
  • Identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and implement best practices to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Develop performance reporting for key metrics that reinforce the strategic objectives of the division and support external commitments.
  • Assist in financial analysis and budget management, including financial planning, forecasting, and monitoring financial performance against targets.
  • Support business heads in partnership with HR on hiring, workforce planning, and joiner/mover/leaver actions.
  • Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks and coach employees in pursuit of objectives.
  • Consult on complex issues and provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact confidently with high-level contacts within the organization.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment.
  • Equity Derivatives experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of operational flows and processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Familiarity with digital and technology trends relevant to the industry.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $115,000 to $140,000 based on experience and qualifications.
