About The Position
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift truck or reach truck to load/unload products from inbound/outbound trailers. The position also involves performing quality checks on products for identification errors or shortages and conducting routine equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Some warehouse or stock experience is required.
- Knowledge of basic math.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Ability to operate forklift, reach truck, rider jack, battery charger and slip-sheet attachment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Required to wear and use appropriate safety gear including boots and back belt.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift with a slip-sheet attachment, a reach truck, and a rider jack to stock, down stock, and rotate dated product by stock number to the correct aisle and pulling order.
- Perform routine inspections on inventory for possible damages and prepare for shipment.
- Accurately document all discrepancies on inbound freight.
- Provide down stock on all sales aides and stack or restack product pallets.
- Recharge reach truck and change propane tanks on forklift when needed.
- Maintain accurate operation of wands or scanner guns in detecting errors on inbound shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in other areas as needed.
