About The Position

Join a team responsible for maintaining the critical equipment that powers Gulfstream’s aircraft manufacturing operations. Gulfstream is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support aircraft-related production equipment through expert troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement. Under general supervision, this role provides expertise with respect to electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems for troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance to all aircraft-related production equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3 years of experience with electrical controls and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls aspects of factory automation
  • Ability to work any shift
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Must have demonstrated working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls aspects of factory automation systems and the integration of devices used.

Nice To Haves

  • A 2 year technical degree may offset 1 year of experience
  • Background in CNC Equipment and GSE Equipment a plus
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed.
  • Working knowledge of replacing spindles, ball screws, linear guide ways, bearings, hydraulics repairs, and precision machine/laser alignments is a plus.
  • A working knowledge of PC based Microsoft office.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management software relevant to spare parts management, work order creation, and Preventive Maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and correct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment malfunctions
  • Perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance in accordance with established schedules
  • Execute high-quality repairs to ensure equipment operates within required specifications
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and safety
  • Diagnoses cause of electrical and mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and apply corrective action to resolve re-occurring issues.
  • Proactively conducts Preventive and Predictive Maintenance inspections and performs required duties in accordance with recommended schedules.
  • Performs repairs and corrective maintenance to equipment with a high degree of quality and reliability so that the equipment is capable of operating within the required specifications.
  • Performs setup and calibrations on scheduled intervals for all aircraft related production equipment.
  • Daily input of required data in CMMS system for machine reliability and control.
  • Interfaces daily with key Management and Production personnel regarding all aircraft related production equipment.
  • Assists with Engineering acceptance testing and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
