About The Position

The Equipment & Facilities Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on small engines, light and heavy equipment, fleet vehicles, and trailers. This role also involves assisting with equipment mobilization, demobilization, and transport, as well as logging repair and maintenance activities. Additionally, the technician will support inventory accuracy, assist with GPS/telemetry device installations, and perform routine facility and yard maintenance. This includes minor building repairs, office setups, furniture moving, event setup/breakdown, yard organization, laydown yard support, and managing shipments. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, be organized, dependable, safety-focused, adaptable, and possess clear communication abilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in equipment, vehicle, or small engine repair.
  • Working knowledge of diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and PM practices.
  • Basic Mechanical troubleshooting and repair capability.
  • Organized, dependable, and safety focused.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities across fleet, facilities, and operations.
  • Clear communication with management, admin, and field teams.
  • Willingness to support training, inspections, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working outdoors, in shop environments, and on job sites.
  • Ability to operate vehicles, trailers, and equipment as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting facilities maintenance or yard operations.
  • CDL a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, minor diagnostics, and repairs on small engines (generators, pumps, compact equipment), light and heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles and trailers.
  • Assist with equipment mobilization, demobilization, and transport.
  • Log repairs, inspections, maintenance activities, and parts usage accurately in Tenna.
  • Assist with GPS/telemetry device installs, troubleshooting, and replacements.
  • Support inventory accuracy by verifying equipment condition, location, and status.
  • Perform routine facility and yard maintenance, including minor building repairs (drywall, carpentry, electrical, plumbing), office setups, and furniture moving.
  • Set up and break down events, and load out equipment for offsite events.
  • Maintain yard organization and equipment staging.
  • Support laydown yard operations and controlled storage.
  • Receive, prepare, load, and unload shipments.
