About the position

The University of Delaware's College of Health Sciences is seeking an experienced and innovative open-rank faculty member for the Biostatistics Core within the Epidemiology Program. This non-tenure track position requires expertise in statistical software such as SAS and R, and the successful candidate will teach courses in epidemiology, research design, and biostatistics. The role involves collaboration with faculty to provide biostatistical guidance for various research projects, adapting or developing new methods as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in epidemiology, research design, and biostatistics.
  • Provide expert biostatistical and methodological guidance to faculty on research design, conduct, analysis, and interpretation of data.
  • Collaborate with faculty on grants and studies in basic, translational, clinical, and population science research.
  • Adapt or develop new methods to address novel design and analysis issues.

Requirements

  • Earned PhD, DrPH, or ScD in biostatistics, epidemiology, data analytics, or a closely related quantitatively focused field from an accredited program.
  • Expertise in statistical software including SAS and R.
  • Specialization in biostatistics or advanced quantitative methods.
  • Experience with a range of research designs and analytic techniques, including experimental and non-experimental design, advanced modeling, logistical data analysis, and Bayesian methods.
