About the position
The Application Analyst is responsible for the installation, design, configuration, training, and support of application systems within a healthcare setting. This role involves optimizing applications through the development of new functionalities, testing, and implementing vendor releases and system upgrades. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance end-user productivity and ensure compliance with change management procedures.
Responsibilities
- Install, design, configure, train, and support application systems.
- Optimize applications by developing new functionalities and fixing system defects.
- Test and implement scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades.
- Provide technical and functional application analysis and define system requirements.
- Develop logical data models using best practices for build and configuration.
- Educate cross-functional teams on system functionality and configuration of new tools.
- Create and maintain documentation for assigned applications.
- Plan and execute testing for supported applications.
- Communicate application changes, enhancements, and procedures to affected departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration or equivalent work experience.
- 2 - 4 years of healthcare experience.
- EPIC Certification within 6 months of hire (if applicable).
Nice-to-haves
- Minimum of five (5) years healthcare IT experience.
- Two (2) years of healthcare IT experience.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
