This position is for an Environmental Services Technician in Facilities, located in Plummer, ID. The role is regular full-time and requires entry-level experience. The position involves flexibility in working hours, including weekends, and a willingness to carry out all needed housekeeping duties in a consistent and ongoing manner.

Responsibilities

  • Sanitizing and disinfecting work and patient care areas, exam rooms, waiting rooms, restrooms, offices, meeting rooms, locker rooms, fitness areas, gymnasium, etc.
  • Housekeeping, grounds upkeep, mowing, raking, weeding, trimming, litter pickup, deicing walkways, snow removal, and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Using initiative and independent judgment in performance with a minimum of supervision.
  • Maintaining a clean environment in accordance with health care accreditation standards.
  • Following an established housekeeping routine as outlined in the Facility Department Manual.
  • Performing detailed cleaning tasks such as wiping ceiling vents, high/low dusting, edge vacuuming, and base board cleaning.
  • Keeping paper and chemical supplies stocked and stored in closets neat and organized.
  • Performing basic equipment care and checks for wear and damage on assigned equipment.
  • Assisting with event/meeting room setup and cleanup.
  • Completing work routines with a quality and completion review of at least 90%.
  • Maintaining a customer service attitude with external and internal complaints not exceeding 6 per year.
  • Following all safety, infection control, and personal protective equipment requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 120 days prior housekeeping work experience in a facility requiring sanitizing.
  • Knowledge of basic infection control practices.
  • A valid driver's license required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare related housekeeping experience.
