The Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves is an agency in the EEC cabinet. The mission of the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves is to conserve Kentucky's natural heritage. We administer the state's natural heritage, natural areas, rare plant, wild rivers, and Heritage land conservation fund programs, among other conservation programs. We are a team of over 30 biologists, land managers and data scientists. By joining the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as an Environmental Scientist III (terrestrial invertebrate biologist) in Franklin County, you will be tasked with coordinating the states terrestrial invertebrate conservation programs, including pollinators and globally rare insects, across Kentucky. This position will serve as an Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves terrestrial invertebrate biologist, focusing on rare insects and pollinators. This position will coordinate the development and implementation of invertebrate conservation and inventory projects in the Biological Assessment Branch at the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves.
