About the position

Arconic is currently in search of an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our Central Maintenance Department based in our Davenport, IA location. The Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator manages the EHS systems for the Central Maintenance Department. You will play a key leadership role in reducing risk of incident and injury, while driving the implementation of Human Performance systems. EHS Coordinators work closely with location manufacturing leads, maintenance, engineering, and support staff to develop and deploy a wide range of comprehensive EHS systems that support Arconic’s commitment to zero non-compliance and zero injuries. The EHS Coordinator reports to the Lead Area Manager and EHS Manager and will collaborate with other EHS professionals. You will primarily work daytime shifts Monday through Friday while supporting off-shifts as needed and are on-call as first line help chain 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the professional development of Safety Representatives and Human Performance Advocates from their respected areas.
  • Leads the EHS training coordination and implementation for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Performs internal self-assessment activities (ASATs).
  • Assist with incident investigations to ensure completeness and accuracy, develop and track root causes and corrective actions.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to make process improvements and reduce risk of injury.
  • Generate potential action plans and monitor progress in significant and critical areas.
  • Conduct plant audits to identify potential risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and complaints.
  • Manage workers’ compensation cases and coordinate with the insurance carrier.
  • Complete reviews for department Title V semi-annual and annual compliance reports.
  • Conduct tank inspections and satellite accumulation sites inspections to meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety management systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct training and assessments effectively.
  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in EHS-related fields (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA).
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with Human Performance systems.
