About the position

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for overseeing the EHS function across three production plants in Tennessee and Kentucky, with a primary focus on the largest facility in Nashville. This role emphasizes safety and health management, alongside environmental compliance, and aims to strengthen the safety culture within the organization. The EHS Manager will report to the Director of Operations and supervise an EHS Generalist, driving strategic leadership in EHS initiatives and corporate program implementation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the EHS function for three production plants, focusing on safety and health (80%) and environmental compliance (20).
• Supervise and mentor the EHS Generalist.
• Strengthen the safety culture and enhance programs such as ergonomics and machine guarding.
• Engage and integrate manufacturing and plant leadership to drive safety improvements.
• Roll out corporate EHS programs and systems.
• Provide strategic leadership in EHS initiatives in collaboration with Corporate EHS.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in safety or a related technical field.
• 5 years of industrial safety and environmental experience in manufacturing operations.
• Experience managing direct reports.
• Working knowledge of environmental compliance.
• Located in the Nashville area.
