Environmental Field Technician

About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Field Technician in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office to support a wide range of multidisciplinary projects in New Mexico and elsewhere. The role will include supporting field sampling and remedial system operations on a variety of environmental investigation, characterization, remediation and monitoring projects for commercial, state and federal clients.

Requirements

• Experience executing environmental fieldwork.
• 0-5 years of experience
• Strong data collection and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for extended rotations.
• Ability to pass background checks to support projects on military installations.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
• First Aid/CPR certifications
• Associate’s degree and/or experience in environmental science or mechanical field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field sampling of soil, groundwater, soil gas and other environmental media.
• Perform operations, monitoring and maintenance on remediation systems.
• Operate and maintain field equipment.
• Follow sampling protocols including chain-of-custody procedures.
• Document field activities.
• Adhere to and promote safety protocols.
