About the position

The Environmental Engineer - Plant Level position is responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations at a manufacturing plant. The role focuses on air and waste management compliance, requiring a strong background in environmental science or engineering. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who thrives in a plant environment and is adaptable to various challenges.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the site's environmental programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Implement and maintain environmental management systems, such as ISO 14001.
• Oversee air pollution control operations and water treatment processes.
• Manage hazardous waste and ensure proper disposal practices are followed.
• Assist in obtaining and maintaining Title V and NPDES permits.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or environmental science with a strong academic background.
• At least 2 years of industrial environmental compliance experience, particularly in air and waste management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in environmental compliance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of RCRA waste generation, storage, and disposal.
• Experience with air pollution control operations and hazardous waste management.
• Familiarity with Title V and NPDES permitting processes.
