About the position

The Entry Level Water Resources Engineer position at Tetra Tech offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates to apply their academic knowledge to real-world stormwater challenges. This role involves supporting clients with water quality assessments, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and watershed management projects, while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field investigations and inspections
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses
  • Conduct water resources modeling efforts
  • Perform water quality sampling and reporting
  • Analyze watershed data using GIS and statistical techniques
  • Develop or prepare descriptive charts, figures/maps, and tables/matrices
  • Contribute to project documentation such as memos and reports
  • Support design analysis through quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents (plans and specifications)
  • Develop quantity take-offs for construction bid items
  • Support cost-benefit analysis
  • Assist with quality control and assurance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an Accredited College or University
  • Demonstrated educational and relevant work experience showing strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Background/interest in water resources, water quality monitoring, civil design and/or watershed management
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation and ArcGIS preferred
  • Computer literate; knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Able to work in the field and assist in field data collection and surveying
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
