Mobile Technologies Inc. (MTI) is seeking an Entry Level/Trainee Merchandising Technician to join our team in Orlando South, FL. This part-time position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of merchandising and technology. You will work closely with our senior technician to learn the ins and outs of installing, troubleshooting, merchandising, and maintaining interactive consumer electronic displays and devices in retail locations such as AT&T and T-Mobile. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop technical skills while contributing to the customer experience in a retail environment. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting with break-fix, installation, and maintenance work, as well as general merchandising tasks. Your responsibilities will include installing and building displays, end caps, and fixturing, conducting planogram resets, and performing break-fix repairs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and a desire to succeed in a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities
- Assist senior technician with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of interactive consumer electronic displays.
- Install and build displays, end caps, and fixturing in retail locations.
- Conduct planogram resets and perform break-fix repairs.
- Maintain displays and ensure they are operational and visually appealing.
- Upload photos and data using a mobile device to showcase work completed.
Requirements
- Must be over the age of 18.
- Current Driver's License, insurance, and a vehicle are required.
- Previous merchandising or retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Technically inclined with experience in setting up electronics or displays.
- Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
- Flexible availability Monday-Friday.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in electronics repair and troubleshooting, either professionally or as a hobby.
- Background in information technology, whether professionally or as a hobby.
- Experience in installing and maintaining security components.
- Home improvement skills, such as mounting TVs or assembling furniture.
