About the position
Evernest is looking for an Entry Level Home Inspector responsible for inspecting the structural and functional aspects of rental properties to ensure compliance with safety and habitability laws. Inspectors will thoroughly examine various components of a rental property, including electrical systems, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, roofing, and overall structural integrity. The primary goal is to identify potential hazards, maintenance issues, or code violations, providing owners and property managers with comprehensive reports that aid in making informed decisions about property maintenance, renovations, and safety concerns.
Responsibilities
- Routine inspections and estimating of both occupied and unoccupied properties
- Execute the process of posting eviction notices on properties, following company protocols, and adhering to legal requirements in the respective jurisdiction.
- Light handyman work including lock changes and small repairs
- Other duties, as assigned
Requirements
- Must present and communicate in a professional manner.
- Must be very detail-oriented with an eye for residential maintenance.
- Must be organized with excellent time management skills.
- Possess problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using a smartphone and computer.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
