About The Position

Drake University's Zimpleman College of Business seeks an experienced Entrepreneurship Coach to teach entrepreneurship students and mentor and support entrepreneurs participating in our Business Clinic program. This is a fulltime, 12-month position. This position combines teaching and working with students as well as coaching early-stage and growth-focused entrepreneurs to build sustainable and impactful ventures. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in entrepreneurship, business development, or startup support, and be passionate about empowering others through education and coaching.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 years of relevant experience.
• At least five years of experience in entrepreneurship and/or consulting.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree or higher and 3 – 7 years experience preferred.
• Experience working in higher education.
• Experience working with people having diverse backgrounds, working in teams, and working in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the instructor of record for two courses in the fall and two courses in the spring.
• Provide one-on-one business counseling as needed during and after the participant’s attendance in the Business Clinic. Minimum of four counseling sessions on average per week.
• Participate in the Business Clinic as a mentor providing business counseling to participants.
• Collaborate with entrepreneurship program staff and faculty to support existing center programming and develop new programming.
• Provide one-on-one business mentoring to undergraduate students.
• Other duties as assigned.
