About the position

Erias Ventures is seeking experienced Systems Engineers to analyze user requirements and develop system requirements specifications. The role involves leading design and development activities, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the technical integrity of work performed. The ideal candidate will guide users in formulating requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and develop technical documentation while interacting with government personnel regarding technical considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user's requirements and develop system requirements specifications.
  • Lead design and development activities for system requirements.
  • Guide users in formulating requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develop technical documentation and system architecture documentation.
  • Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans.
  • Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations.
  • Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Requirements

  • Minimum fourteen (14) years' experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in developing sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans and Requirements specifications.
  • Ability to manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure compatibility with defined system architectures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Service-oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Familiarity with Information Assurance Services and Security Mechanism Technology.
