The Enterprise Architect is the senior architecture authority responsible for shaping the target-state of the enterprise across all architecture domains — Business, Data, Application, and Technology — and for governing how strategy is translated into a coherent, executable architecture. The Enterprise Architect partners with executive leadership to align technology investment with business strategy, sets architectural standards and reference patterns, and ensures that programs and solutions deliver against a unified long-range roadmap. This role operates at the intersection of business strategy and technology execution. It is distinct from a Solutions Architect (who designs a specific solution) and a Technical Architect (who owns the buildable technology design). The Enterprise Architect owns the system of systems.
