About the position
FLS Boston Commons is seeking a part-time English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher for in-person group classes. The role involves teaching adult learners, including a TOEFL Prep class, with flexible scheduling options available. The position emphasizes a supportive teaching environment with established curricula and a focus on student success.
Responsibilities
- Teach in-person ESL classes from 10:00am-1:15pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm, including a TOEFL Prep class.
- Prepare lesson plans and materials based on established curricula.
- Manage classroom objectives and guide students towards their learning goals.
- Provide compensation for class preparation time.
Requirements
- Master's degree in TESOL, English, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Bachelor's degree with significant ESL teaching experience may be acceptable.
- TESOL Certification with 100+ course hours required.
- Native English proficiency is required.
- Candidates must reside in the greater Boston metro area.
