Responsibilities

• Layout, draft, and design drawings, plats, and maps using CAD software and manual methods.
• Perform office surveying duties, including calculating complex survey data and verifying calculations for accuracy.
• Provide technical information to city staff, contractors, developers, and the public regarding engineering projects.
• Prepare and maintain files, plats, charts, plans, and other civil engineering data.
• Analyze existing or proposed pipe systems and design appropriate pipe networks.
• Prepare cost estimates for designed projects and review incoming plan submittals for correctness and feasibility.
• Operate various engineering and computer equipment, maintaining it as needed.
• Scan, organize, and verify engineering plans and documents for retention.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in CAD and engineering design.
• Strong understanding of surveying principles and practices.
• Ability to perform complex calculations and verify data accuracy.
• Proficient in using computer-aided design software and drafting tools.
• Excellent communication skills for providing technical information to various stakeholders.
