About the position

The Engineering Technician position at WSB LLC focuses on supporting engineering staff in the transportation industry, particularly in traffic engineering and pedestrian facilities. Responsibilities

• Utilize drafting, GIS, and Microsoft Office software, as well as technology and devices like iPads.
• Support engineering staff to design and prepare construction plans, estimates, and specifications.
• Participate in field walks with project managers and designers.
• Support construction inspection staff as needed.
• Travel periodically across the state of Minnesota for project-related tasks.

Requirements

• 0 - 5 years of relevant work experience in design, construction, or construction inspections.
• A two-year degree in civil engineering technology, engineering drafting, or a related field from a technical/community college.
• Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar software is preferred.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro or similar is preferred.
• MnDOT ADA Certification or other construction certifications are desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
