About the position
SAIC is seeking a candidate to perform duties as an Engineering Technician in support of the Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) program. The Engineering Technician will be Installing, maintaining, and upgrading all Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems and equipment on all tactical vehicles in the area assigned. The Engineering Technician may perform alternate equipment custodian duties as well as receiving Mission Support Equipment (MSE) shipments, conducting inventory, operational checks as well as tagging, packaging, storing and onward shipment of MSE. May be tasked to utilize the USAF Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) to record all repair and fault analysis.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade C4ISR systems and equipment on tactical vehicles.
- Perform alternate equipment custodian duties.
- Receive MSE shipments and conduct inventory.
- Conduct operational checks and manage tagging, packaging, storing, and onward shipment of MSE.
- Utilize the USAF Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) for recording repairs and fault analysis.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Formal electronics training from Technical School, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or a four-year electronics apprentice program.
- Two years of practical experience in electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.
- Must be a US Citizen with an ACTIVE Secret Security clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior military experience with assembly, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, installation, and checkout of electronic equipment.
- Prior experience with maintaining and troubleshooting C4ISR systems integrated into military vehicles, specifically JLTV variants.
- Experienced in electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.
