About the position
As an Engineering Specialist/CAD Technician at WSB LLC, you will play a crucial role in developing designs for municipal, land development, and renewable energy projects. This position involves preparing technical drawings, collaborating with engineering teams, and utilizing advanced design software to create construction plans under the supervision of a registered engineer.
Responsibilities
- Develop grading, roadway, drainage, and related designs on municipal, land development, and renewable energy projects under the supervision of a registered engineer.
- Prepare and revise technical drawings for municipal projects.
- Provide work direction to and collaborate with Engineering Technicians, engineers in training, and other professional staff.
- Create plan sheets and plan sets for construction using Autodesk Civil 3D Sheet Set Manager.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school.
- 2+ years of experience in municipal, land development, or renewable energy engineering or related field is preferred.
- Ability to prepare, read, and understand construction plans and technical documents.
- Strong understanding of design software packages, specifically Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Autodesk Infraworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, ArcGIS, Map 3D, Revit, & Bentley Products.
