About the position
The Plant Engineer Intern position at Lonza is part of the 2025 On-site Summer Internship program, designed to immerse candidates in the culture and operations of the Portsmouth, NH site. This 12-week internship focuses on supporting the manufacturing engineering department by providing technical assistance related to manufacturing and process systems, while also developing an understanding of engineering functions and biologics processes.
Responsibilities
- Support ongoing operations at the Portsmouth site through technical assistance related to manufacturing and process systems.
- Assist the manufacturing engineering department in achieving their objectives.
- Develop an understanding of the engineering function and biologics processes.
- Provide tactical support for ongoing plant operations and strategic implementation of engineering projects.
- Support plant equipment, automation, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Requirements
- Completion of junior year (typically 90 credits) towards a B.S. degree in Chemical, Bio Process, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (out of 4) required.
- Must currently be enrolled in a BS or MS Academic Program.
- Must be available to begin the Internship on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
