About The Position

The Enforcement Case Manager Team Lead will work on the CSEA’s Enforcement Team and assume a leadership role by providing guidance and support to Enforcement Case Managers. The Enforcement Case Manager Team Lead will also serve as a liaison between Enforcement Case Managers and CSEA management. This position will manage a larger caseload, help organize and provide ongoing CSEA employee training, participate in CSEA Management Meetings on a regular basis, and lead the CSEA’s Child Support Awareness Month efforts.

Requirements

  • Completion of two years technical training or undergraduate major core coursework in criminology, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Two years experience in performing child support functions that included conducting investigations to locate absent parents, establishment of paternity, and enforcement of child support orders.
  • One course or six months experience in interviewing techniques.
  • One course or six months experience in business math.
  • One course or six months experience in criminal investigations.
  • One course or six months experience in case preparation techniques.
  • One course or six months experience in criminal courts proceedings.
  • One course or six months experience in techniques of writing.
  • One course in typing, keyboarding, or word processing.

Responsibilities

  • Educate Obligor on child support processes, initiate child support payments, review employment, and initiate seek work opportunities.
  • Accompany unemployed obligors to resource room and assist with registration and initial orientation.
  • Manage recently established child support cases in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and procedures.
  • Review child support orders and track cases to ensure compliance.
  • Enter case information into computerized tracking system (SETS) and ensure the required forms and notices are generated to customers and employers.
  • Communicate, both in writing and orally, with customers, employers, and stakeholders on all aspects of child support; including review of orders, enforcement actions, employment options, payment information, and frequent follow-up with non-paying obligors prior to referring for enforcement.
  • Conduct in-house investigations and communicate with clients, attorneys, law enforcement personnel, court officials, other child support professionals to obtain child support orders for clients.
  • Attend workgroup meetings, staff meetings, and trainings.
  • Testify in court as necessary.
