As an Energy Technician III, you will act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers. You will install energy-efficient equipment, conduct pre- and post-installation verifications, and perform other technical data gathering activities through a defined territory. Successful candidates will reside in Knoxville, Tennessee for daily travel within the region. Requirements

  • 0-1 Years experience in a relative industry
  • High school or Associates Degree
  • If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support.
  • Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct installation of residential energy efficiency upgrades
  • Provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications
  • Record and report to program staff customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements
  • Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning and effectiveness of products
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, regarding installation in accordance with client specifications
  • Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors; to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers.
  • Travel throughout a defined territory
