Energy Technician III

As an Energy Technician III, you will act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers. You will install energy-efficient equipment, conduct pre- and post-installation verifications, and perform other technical data gathering activities through a defined territory. Successful candidates will reside in Knoxville, Tennessee for daily travel within the region. We are looking for someone who is resourceful, resilient, and kind.
Requirements
- 0-1 Years experience in a relative industry
- High school or Associates Degree
- Work in all climates
- Bending, crouching, kneeling
- Ability to work in-person in multiple homes per day (this is not a work-from-home position; you will be in the field servicing customers’ homes)
- If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support.
- Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct installation of residential energy efficiency upgrades
- Provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications
- Record and report to program staff customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements
- Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning and effectiveness of products
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, regarding installation in accordance with client specifications
- Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors; to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers.
