Requirements

  • Expertise analyzing market competitors and establishing strategic teaming partnerships to drive business growth within the Area.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of state and local government political processes, with a proven ability to secure and execute projects successfully.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of professional experience with a considerable part being in a strategic leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in executive leadership, including leading and developing other leaders.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing within a matrixed/enterprise business model.
  • Prior experience in managing an operational area and a firm understanding of business principles and financial management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading or supporting industrial water projects in private sector markets, with a strong understanding of client needs, project drivers, and delivery models.
  • Experience with design-build, integrated project delivery, or other collaborative delivery models for complex private sector projects.
  • Strong client relationship and market development experience in private sector industries, preferably in tech, oil and gas, power, and/or chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Business Unit and Company objectives and priorities as a team member of the Business Unit.
  • Manage profit and loss for the area, ensuring financial targets are met and driving initiatives to enhance profitability.
  • Lead the Area’s strategic and annual business planning, revenue, and sales forecasting processes to support achieving Area, Business Unit, and BC Strategy and growth objectives in collaboration with Area Growth Leader and Client Service Managers. Lead the execution/implementation of strategy and operational performance by aligning priorities with Sales, Project Delivery, Design, Technical Practices and integrated Project Delivery Team members.
  • Deliver desired operational performance goals. This includes managing P&L with emphasize on Profit from Operations, Total and Net Revenue growth and optimization of labor utilization and prioritization to achieve overall BC, BU, and Area objectives.
  • Support the delivery of profitable projects by overseeing project execution, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Support profitable business growth through favorable contract terms, successful delivery of projects in the Area portfolio and management of operational risks.
  • Drive connectivity between practice leaders, local group leaders, and CSMs.
  • Drive growth initiatives by identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic plans, and implementing actions to expand the business.
  • Develop and implement strategies that align with the company's long-term vision and goals, ensuring effective execution and monitoring progress.
  • Drive the development and recruitment of top talent to meet our client and project needs. Collaborate with local and national colleagues to ensure the most appropriate resources are deployed for the greatest project success, client satisfaction, and strategic development of talent.
  • Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of engagement, growth, and accountability. Oversee workload planning, performance management, and team operations to align resources with business objectives while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
