The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) position at Rhythm Transportation involves providing essential medical care and transportation services to patients. EMTs are responsible for ensuring patient safety during transport, maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle, and complying with medical guidelines. The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to react well under pressure while providing high-quality service to patients and clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care including comfort and reassurance, oxygen administration, and taking vital signs.
- Lift patients in a stretcher and secure their safety during transport.
- Follow assigned schedules and maintain flexibility for last-minute changes.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and submit it at the end of the shift.
- Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and disinfect equipment between patients.
- Comply with uniform policy and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Notify dispatch in a timely manner in case of any incidents.
- Operate equipment in accordance with certification and training.
Requirements
- Valid EMT License
- EMT-B certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid/Clean driver's license
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to work on a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to react well under pressure
- Attention to detail
