About the position

We are hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. EMTs will provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment. They will document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights. EMTs are expected to take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients, and to operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles. Collaboration with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMTs, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide an assessment of patients and determine necessary care.
• Deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• CA Drivers' License.
• Ambulance Driver's License (from DMV).
• Medical Examiner's Certificate (MCSA-5875 and MCSA-5876).
• State of California EMT license.
• CPR Card (American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider).
• K4 report (Driving Record) from the DMV (less than 30 days old).
• Completion of ICS courses: IS-100 (ICS 100), IS-200 (ICS 200), IS-700 (NIMS), IS-800 (NIMS).
