About the position

The Employer Engagement Professional will grow relationships with employers and alumni to increase employer engagement and enhance student career opportunities. The role involves implementing strategies and programming goals to ensure Grossman School of Business (GSB) students have broad exposure to potential career opportunities within and outside Vermont. The professional will drive initiatives to provide integrated work-based learning opportunities aligned with academic degree plans and collaborate with the GSB Center for Student Success (CSS) for student work-integrated placements. Additionally, the position requires coordinating messaging related to work-integrated activities, outcomes, and experiences, and executing marketing and communications activities. The professional will also serve as an external liaison and outreach for employer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Grow relationships with employers and alumni to increase employer engagement.
  • Implement strategies and programming goals for student career opportunities.
  • Drive initiatives for integrated work-based learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the GSB Center for Student Success for student placements.
  • Coordinate messaging related to work-integrated activities and outcomes.
  • Execute marketing and communications activities.
  • Serve as an external liaison for employer relationships.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Two to four years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships across organizations.
  • Understanding of business field career opportunities.
  • Industry experience is critical.
  • Experience developing early career talent programs.
  • Ability to utilize communications and social media platforms.
  • Experience with customer relationship management systems.
  • Effective organizational, communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated multicultural competence and commitment to inclusivity.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong preference for business administration, marketing, or communications degrees.
  • Experience designing and executing early talent career programs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
