About the position

The Employee Relations Partner at Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona serves as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, focusing on employee relations matters. This role aims to minimize risk and enhance productivity and retention by ensuring efficient resolution of employee complaints and conflicts. The position involves compliance with employment regulations, managing unemployment claims, conducting investigations, and collaborating with various departments to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC.
  • Manage unemployment claims and represent the company during appeal hearings.
  • Review analytics regarding employee relations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other ER Partners and the Director of Talent Management on policy updates.
  • Partner with the Legal Department on investigations and litigation matters.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and provide recommendations to HR leadership.
  • Interpret corporate policies and employment law to provide advice on ER inquiries.
  • Build relationships across the organization to maintain trust and credibility.
  • Research and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct investigations.
  • Maintain documentation related to investigations and employee relations matters.
  • Serve as an HR Ambassador managing multiple HR initiatives.
  • Conduct training related to policies, procedures, and employment law.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent experience.
  • Two or more years of employee relations experience, preferably in a services or retail environment.
  • Strong communication skills and customer-focused orientation.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive data effectively.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills and project management skills are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
