About The Position
The EmERge Program offers immersive emergency veterinarian training, propelling participants toward becoming skilled, confident, and proficient emergency veterinarians, equipped to administer life-saving care for pets in crisis. From day one, participants will be part of the team, receiving hands-on training, lectures, mentoring, and real-world experience. This comprehensive one-year program furnishes all the essential components for a prosperous career in emergency veterinary medicine, encompassing vital hands-on experiences, immersive training, and personalized mentorship crucial for success. Throughout the program, participants will forge lasting connections with peers and create indelible memories. The program is open to recent graduates and seasoned veterinary professionals seeking a new challenge. The program is divided into three parts: 14 weeks of accelerated boot camp and initial training, 20 weeks of hands-on, immersive training guided by an experienced clinician mentor, and 18 weeks of experiential training, with continued mentoring. A one-year work commitment after training is required, totaling two years.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited veterinary school
- Passed (or pending) the NAVLE
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the state of interest
- A sincere interest in becoming an Emergency Veterinarian

Responsibilities
- Participate in 14 weeks of accelerated boot camp and initial training, including virtual asynchronous learning, in-person boot camp with hands-on labs, ER case scenarios, and critical practical skills.
- Rotate through emergency and critical care, as well as other specialties at the primary hospital for 10 weeks.
- Engage in 20 weeks of hands-on, immersive training guided by an experienced clinician mentor.
- Complete 18 weeks of experiential training with continued mentoring.
- Fulfill a one-year work commitment after the training period.
