MU Health Care is seeking a passionate and dynamic Emergency Services Educator to inspire the next generation of EMS professionals. This position is crucial for making a lasting impact on both students and the future of EMS. The educator will be responsible for evaluating and updating learning materials, examinations, and presentations related to EMS education. They will manage data entry for the upkeep of records, testing material, and student records. Mentoring and coaching students at all levels of competence is a key responsibility, along with documenting such interactions. The educator will moderate, introduce, evaluate, and supervise programs presented by external instructors, ensuring high standards of education are maintained. In addition, the educator will plan, develop, and teach EMS programs, specifically for emergency medical technician and paramedic courses. They will also be tasked with planning, developing, and presenting new EMS educational programs/classes as directed under the supervision of management. Providing supervision over clinical rotation and internship rotations is essential, as well as educational supervision within EMS areas at the University of Missouri Health Care, particularly in relation to safety programs, outreach programs, and CEU/competency training. The educator will be responsible for the care and upkeep of educational equipment and facilities, and for maintaining meticulous communication with management and students regarding progress and variations in program progress. Other unit or department-specific duties may also be required as outlined in department documents.
