About the position

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) and Mt. Ascutney Hospital are seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team of dedicated Emergency Physicians. In this role, you would provide clinical care at Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor, VT as well as at DHMC, the academic hub for Dartmouth Health and a Level I Trauma Center in Lebanon, NH, if desired. Both are located in scenic, rural New England with close ties to the Dartmouth College community. In addition to direct patient care, responsibilities could include supervision and teaching of house-staff, medical students, off-service residents and Emergency Medicine residents. The position carries a faculty appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine at a rank commensurate with experience. Both purely clinical and mixed clinical and academic roles are available. Targeted areas of expertise for academic applicants include Emergency Medical Services, Ultrasound and Research, but physicians with academic success in other areas are also encouraged to apply. Dartmouth Health is a system of community hospitals, clinics and healthcare services caring for patients across northern New England, providing the only Level I trauma center in NH as well as the Dartmouth Cancer Center and Dartmouth Health Children's.
