About the position

The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner (APRN or PA) to provide diagnostic evaluation and management of acute medical complaints for children and adults, presenting to the Mt. Ascutney Emergency Department. Primary responsibilities for all assigned patients include ordering diagnostic testing, obtaining consultations, performing procedures within the advanced practitioner's scope of practice, prescribing medications, directing the administration of medications by nursing staff, and ensuring an appropriate disposition plan.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA academic program
  • National specialty certification as FNP, PNP, Acute or Primary Care A-GNP, WHNP or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Eligible for RN licensure in the State of NH (APRN only)
  • Eligible for APRN or PA licensure in the State of NH
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Registration
  • BLS certification
