About the position
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) position at Total Access Urgent Care (TAUC) involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. EMTs will have the opportunity to learn and practice a wide range of medical skills, including IVs, EKGs, and splinting, while working closely with other clinical staff to ensure effective patient triage and treatment. This role is essential in delivering friendly and affordable healthcare to the St. Louis community.
Responsibilities
- Triage patients to differentiate between immediate and less urgent care.
- Take patient vital signs and communicate patient needs and status to providers.
- Apply splints and wound dressings.
- Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
- Serve as a resource for other clinical staff.
Requirements
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT, EMT-B, or EMT-I) certification.
- Full-Time availability for 3 days a week with 12-hour shifts (no overnights).
- Reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment.
