About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Technician/EMT to join their highly committed and dynamic Emergency Services team. This role involves providing excellent quality care to patients of all ages. The Emergency Department Technician/EMT plays a direct role in saving lives by serving patients in a safe environment and promoting long-term recovery. They are expected to perform with a high degree of clinical and professional aptitude while helping deliver patient care as part of a professional multidisciplinary team. The Emergency Services department is a Level II ACS-verified Trauma Center, a high-energy, patient-centered environment with various specialized rooms, serving all patient populations. It is recognized for excellence through metrics and patient experience.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalency
National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

Nice To Haves

Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Play a direct role in saving the lives of patients each day by serving them in a safe environment promoting long-term recovery.
Help deliver patient care as part of a professional multidisciplinary team of Providers, RNs, Paramedics, Emergency Department Technicians, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and Social Workers.
