Responsibilities
- Manage the order of insurance by identifying primary, secondary, and tertiary payers.
- Utilize multiple payer portals and clearing house websites to obtain patient eligibility and update accounts accurately.
- Verify, read, and understand insurance benefits thoroughly.
- Ensure positive patient experiences and effective communication with payers.
- Meet all registration-related key performance indicators as determined by management.
- Adhere to federal and state compliance guidelines, ensuring correct billing practices.
- Work independently under regular supervision and follow assigned duties.
Requirements
- 1-3+ years' experience in Medical Billing or equivalent experience in a healthcare environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Familiarity with using a Practice Management System.
