About the position
The Eli Coleman Institute for Sexual and Gender Health at the University of Minnesota Medical School is offering three postdoctoral fellowships for a two-year program starting in Fall 2025. The fellowships focus on clinical and research training in areas such as relationship and sex therapy, compulsive sexual behavior, and transgender health. Candidates can choose between a clinical/research fellowship or a clinical fellowship, with opportunities for skill development tailored to their interests. The program aims to promote sexual health through research, education, clinical service, and advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy for a wide range of sexual issues.
- Engage in clinical and research training in specified areas of sexual and gender health.
- Complete research projects under faculty supervision, aiming for presentation at scientific conferences and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Develop grant applications to support scholarly work.
- Allocate time for direct patient care, supervision, and didactics.
- Participate in teaching through educational programming.
Requirements
- PhD or PsyD in Psychology or Family/Couples Therapy.
- Interest in and/or experience with sexual and/or gender-related therapy.
