Elementary Teacher, Dyslexia

About the position

The Elementary Teacher for Dyslexia will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. This position requires a strong understanding of differentiated instruction and the ability to create an inclusive classroom environment. The teacher will work closely with students, parents, and other educators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of students with dyslexia.
• Assess and monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to support student learning.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Certification in Special Education or willingness to obtain.
• Experience working with students with dyslexia or learning disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in dyslexia intervention programs.
• Experience with IEP development and implementation.
