The Elementary School Counselor/Social Worker position at Falconer CSD is designed to provide support and guidance to students in an elementary school setting. Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Develop and implement programs to support student social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify and address student needs.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and progress.
• Facilitate communication between students, parents, and school staff.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of counseling sessions and student progress.

Requirements

• NYS School Counselor certification or NYS School Social Worker certification is required.
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children in a counseling or social work capacity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and community resources.
