About the position
Fowler Grade School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Band/Music Teacher to provide vocal music instruction for Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade students, as well as band instruction for 5th and 6th graders. This position offers the opportunity to inspire young musicians and foster a love for music in a supportive educational environment. The role can be either full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate's availability and preference.
Responsibilities
- Provide vocal music instruction for PK-6th grade students
- Teach band instruction for 5th and 6th grade students
- Develop lesson plans that align with educational standards
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the music program
- Organize and participate in school music events and performances
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification
- Experience in teaching music to elementary students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with band instruments
- Knowledge of music theory and composition
- Ability to integrate technology into music instruction
Benefits
- Base salary of $44,000
- 4 day school week
