About the position

We are Hiring Interventional Techs at Rudd Heart and Lung Cardiac Cath Lab. Location: 201 Abraham Flexner Way. This is a Full Time, Days Opportunity! Responsibilities

  • Ensures top quality diagnostic images with minimal Patient, Physician, and Staff radiation exposure.
  • Turns in monthly dosimetry badges so readings can be reported, checked and posted monthly by the Radiation Safety Officer.
  • Responsible for radiation safety teaching to include the Cardiovascular Laboratory Staff and Physicians in basic radiation protection.
  • Works with the Radiation Physicist and the State Bureau of Radiation Health in testing radiation equipment.
  • Assists in fluoroscoping all lead aprons and thyroid shields annually to ensure their integrity.
  • Prepares the patient for pre and post catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college for a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Certification by the KY Bureau of Rad Health and American Registry of Radiological Technologist.
  • CPR certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two years' experience as a general Radiologic Technologist.
  • One year experience as Vascular Tech.
  • Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
