About the position

The Electrician position at ION Solar involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems related to solar energy projects. The role is crucial for ensuring the successful implementation of solar installations, contributing to the company's mission of making solar energy accessible and affordable for homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Complete projects within established policies and procedures
• Complete projects within time frames and budgets
• Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety
• Assemble the solar array racking, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative equipment
• Responsible for the groundwork of a solar installation which includes the connection to the MSP
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues
• Communicate with customers in a professional and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability
• Document proper paperwork for each job completed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Licensed - Completion of a formal apprenticeship and proof of valid electrician's license required
• Unlicensed - Must be enrolled in a trade apprenticeship
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
