Electrician Mechanic

About the position

The Electrician Mechanic position involves maintaining production equipment and performing various electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam system repairs and installations. Candidates must be open to working 2nd (3pm - 11pm) and 3rd (11pm - 7am) shifts, depending on company vacancies, and are subject to mandatory scheduled overtime. The role requires adherence to safety rules and procedures, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Production Equipment
• Follow all Safety Rules and Procedures
• Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed
• Install wire and conduit for newly installed and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, converting, and corrugated machinery
• Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors
• Position sensing devices such as proximity switch timers, scanners, and photo electric devices
• Diagnose and replace/repair faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Read electrical block diagrams, schematics, and ladder logic
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and cleanup work areas as part of completing assigned tasks
• Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records
• Self-motivated, maintain teamwork, and able to follow to completion with assigned responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
• Pass an Advanced Industrial Skills and Instrumentation/Electrician Knowledge Test prior to interview process
• Work alternative shifts, weekends, and overtime as required
