The Electrician Helper (Apprentice) will work closely with Production and Maintenance personnel on various maintenance projects within the facility. This role is designed to assist and train operators on procedures and equipment related to electrical systems. The long-term goal for the Electrician Helper is to become proficient in all necessary software and hardware required for maintaining the facility, which includes gaining skills in PLC programming and troubleshooting. Additionally, the Electrician Helper will accumulate the necessary time and take steps to acquire their Journeyman electrical license, which is essential for advancing in the electrical trade. As an Electrician Helper (Apprentice), you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes. You will perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify electrical issues, read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, and collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols is a critical aspect of this role, as is the ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks. This position is located on-site in our East Longmeadow, MA facility, and requires a commitment to learning and working under the guidance of experienced electricians.
